I admit, this St. Patrick’s Day headband is a little goofy, but when you consider the crazy costumes and accessories available in stores for this holiday, it’s positively conservative. Actually, it’s very high concept. I thought the headband (bought at Michael’s) was the perfect shape to make a rainbow out of, so I just had to figure out how I was going to make the pots of gold. Looking through my cabinets for inspiration, I came across some old plastic water bottles and thought the bottoms of them would make nifty “pots.” Plus, I’m upcycling, which is green, which is St. Patty’s Day. And I bought a bunch of gold coins at Party City.

Decorating the headband and the water bottle was super easy, thanks to Craft Attitude printable film. I applied the Craft Attitude to the headband with an Elmer’s Glue Stick. I applied the film to the water bottle with Super 77 spray adhesive, but it was kind of hard to work around the bottle, so next time I’ll use a glue stick.

I really loved how this headband turned out. What do you think? You can call me Jonathan O’Fong.
